In 2006 Frank spent most of the summer restoring and renovating the first nine greens of Royal Hague, a classic Colt/Alison course.

The operation was necessay because the greens originally had been built on clay and this had caused an impennerable layer after 70 years. All original green contours had accurately been measured by laser, and with most greens the main task was to rebuild them as acurately as possible. However in the case of greens 2, 7 and 8 complete new Colt/Alision style greens were designed to replace earlier less succesfull renovated greens.

Another restoration aspect was bringing back the original Colt/Alison style sand faced bunkers that had been part of the original course but had over the years changed into gras faced bunkers.

After 12 months the greens were ready to be played on and were opened in June 2007.
