Heelsumse renovation

In 2007 Frank was asked by the Heelsumse to help them renovate their relatively new course so that it would become more strategic, visually more interesting and more natural in general.

The first two holes to be tackled were a short par 3 (hole 2 yellow) and a short par 4 (hole 3 yellow).

The short par 3 hole was dramaticly changed by making a large sandy waste area left in front of the green, thereby restoring the old landform of a dry rverbed that used to be positioned there.

The short par 4 hole was also changed completely, both visually and strategically, by changing the size, location and appearance (lace edged) of the bunkers.
