Cruden Bay new par 3 hole

Frank is currently designing a new par 3 hole for Cruden Bay.

The hole will be positioned between the current 12th and 13th holes, and will be used as a spare hole. The reason the club is doing this is to allow the greenkeepers to spend more time on the maintenance of the greens without having to make compromises to keep 18 holes of the course in play.

The hole will be a medium length par 3 hole, which will play from tees on the raised bluffs down to the green which will be positioned on the dunes right next to the beach. The fact that the green will be narrow, well defended by three pot bunkers and grassy hollows and that the shot will almost always face a sideways wind will not only make this a visually beautiful hole but also a most interesting and challenging one.
