Frank is currently advising Royal Hague on restoring and renovating their historic Colt/Alsion course.
Given that all 18 greencomplexes have recently been restored and renovated, the focus is on restoring those elements of the course that have been partly lost over the years such as the links style feel, visuals and playing charactersitics, but also on how to keep the course a stern test of golf for the best players without making the course too hard for the majority of players.
This will mostly be done by moving some of the backtees, and/or changing the angles from which the tee shots are played.
Finally there are plans to create a spare par 3 hole to allow greenkeeping to spend more time maintaining and individually grooming the greens.
